Float Plane Crash

Just wanted to let everyone know about the float plane crash that occurred this weekend on Lake Chelan as the plan was coming in to land at the Stehekin landing. The plane is able to take off and land on water or land and it seems as the landing gear was left down after take off in Chelan. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon with no wind, so it should have been perfect for landing on the water. As soon as it touched down on the water, the plan flipped over the front and was upside down in the water. The plane is owned by Chelan Airways and has been around for a long time. People and visitors of Stehekin use it as a means of transportation.
When the Park Service staff and medical persons of the community arrived at the site, the cabin of the plane was emerged in water and only the floats remained visible. Three people were out of the plane and it took multiple attempts by several people to go under the water to get the remaining two passengers out. They did CPR on those two passengers for about two hours as they prepared for and then transported them down lake in a boat to awaiting ambulances in Field's Point. Those two passengers didn't survive the crash. You can look online at articles for their names if you are interested.
So..Steven and I are definately okay. He was actually one of the people that jumped in the water and was able to get one of the passengers out. He also road down lake while assisting with CPR along with many other medical people from Stehekin and many park service staff.I do ask for prayers for the people of the Stehekin Community and family members of the two people that passed away. Some of the people involved in the rescue are also having difficulty with what they saw. The pilot also needs prayers to regain control of emotions. It has been neat to see the community come together in such a time of crisis and also difficult to see this tragedy tug at their hearts.
If you are interested in more details, there are some articles on various websites, but one I know for sure is http://www.nwcn.com/. You can just search "float plane crash" and a few articles will come up, even some pictures I think.
Thanks for the prayers and I just wanted to give people some info because we heard it has been on the news.
