Our friends Jake and Dawn went down lake (to Wenatchee) two weeks after we arrived here to prepare for the birth of their baby. The doctors recommend people go down lake one month before the due date…so that is what they did. Things were going well and they have been anxious for the birth. Well, he was born on Friday morning and IT’S A BOY! His name is James Raymond Courtney and it sounds like everything went well. Some of their family members headed out of this weekend to see the baby. They should be back to Stehekin in one week or so and I am excited about seeing the new baby and getting the chance to take some pictures!!
