Our "House"

Over the past week, we have spent a lot of time hanging out with friends in the evenings...all at our house. It has been rather fun to have people. Just thought I would share our week with everyone and what we have been up to. Friday was a slow day for me last week and I only worked on housekeeping for a few hours. Some of the girls, Holly and Mistaya, came over for dinner that night. Saturday morning I had two riding lessons and then one day ride. It was a rather wet day and all my clothes were soaked by the time I made it back home. I changed and found Steven at the shop by the bakery. We gathered friends together for movie night at our house on Saturday. The interesting part is that we were watching a movie on a small laptop with everyone piled around one couch with pillows and sleeping bags. It was a fun event and only two people fell asleep!! Pretty impressive with this crowd of non-movie watchers. Sunday afternoon was fun as we picked apples at the local orchard..the deer even came too! Sunday night Mistaya came over for dinner and we just chatted and had a few lessons in knot tying 101 from Steven. On Monday night, we were going to have a fire because one of our friends, Jason, left on Tuesday. Small problem...it was really raining and very cold. So, we just moved the gathering inside for a few hours...still at our house..before everyone said goodbye. On Tuesday night, we were supposed to be visiting up at the ranch for Cailene's last week before she heads out to Costa Rica. Those plans were cancelled last minute so we decided to just have everyone come to our house for music and snacks...yes I am learning how to play the guitar this year and Cailene is teaching me. On Wednesday...we decided to have "breakfast for dinner" and Steven wanted to build a fire. It was supposed to be for Katy and Danny's last night before leaving on the boat. They couldn't make it...so we just hung out anyway!! Just thought I would share a little piece of our social life with everyone!! See you all soon in the Carolinas!
