MERRY CHRISTMAS

Our holiday season has been amazing so far! Plenty of packages were sent our way from family members and we anxiously awaited Christmas Day to open them. On Christmas Eve, I cooked a German meal (my dad's tradition) for Steven and I. It was a success and the food was tasty too!
Please note: Crepes are much easier to cook using a crepe maker than a frying pan.
Holiday Tip: When living in a cold climate during the holidays (ie: Stehekin), food items can easily be stored outside on the porch to make more room in the fridge.
After dinner we walked up the road to Tom and Liz's house for a evening gathering around the fire. I even brought a German Chocolate Mocha to share...everyone loved it! We fell asleep around 11:00 on Christmas Eve and awoke around 7:00 on Christmas Day.

Excitement was present for sure..but we decided to have breakfast..cinnamon rolls straight from the bakery...freezer :-) They were delicious. After breakfast, we did some cleaning to tidy up for the "present photos."

We loved ALL our presents..so a big thanks to family members for sending them!! You can see some of the gifts we received in the photos below.

A quick trip up the road to the ranch was next so we could place flowers on the site where Lady was buried...we are still missing our little friend.

The Courtney family invited us to celebrate with them for Christmas...so we headed to Jim and Rene's house at 1:00 to prepare for a scrumptious meal..they always have great food! Time passed by as we ate, played games, ate, ate, and chatted with friends. It was a wonderful white Christmas here in Stehekin...the only things missing were friends and family members. Hope your Christmas was Merry!
