How to organise your project with Windows Movie Maker

  1. Create a folder for the project in your S: drive* or Memory stick (Never only have a copy on the memory stick)
  2. Place your video files, music, still images (resources) in the designated folder
  3. Open Movie Maker
  4. Import resources into Movie Maker (You cannot import resources from a network location, ie. S: drive. Drag your resources folder onto the desktop and import from there at the beginning of each le sson*)
  5. Save your finished work as...
    a) a Project file- Remembers the last location of resources (Used for work in progress)
    b) a Movie file- All resources embedded in one file (Used for completed work. Different resolutions available)
*Synchronise at the end of each lesson
