Obama zings Trump, Bachmann, Fox News and Biden at White House Correspondents Dinner

This event is very interesting in the sense that amidst the jovial humor there’s always an undercurrent of truth. Obama does a good job here. He does have a good sense of comedic timing when he delivers the lines.

Politico:

In his White House Correspondents’ Dinner stand-up routine, President Barack Obama took aim at an easy and expected target: Donald Trump.
“Now, I know that he’s taken some flak lately, but no one is prouder to put this birth certificate matter to rest than The Donald,” the president said. “And that’s because he can finally get back to focusing on the issues that matter, like, ‘Did we fake the moon landing?‘ ’What really happened on Roswell?‘ And ’Where are Biggie and Tupac?’”

Obama mentioned the recent release of his long-form birth certificate a few times during the comedy routine Saturday night. (His arrival at the podium was preceded by a “South Park”-esque montage of the cheesy, patriotism-thick World Wrestling Federation song, “Real American,” with flashes of the birth certificate inserted at regular intervals.)

“As some of you heard, the state of Hawaii released my official, long-form birth certificate. Hopefully this puts all doubts to rest, but just in case there are any lingering questions tonight, I’m prepared to go a step further tonight. For the first time, I am releasing my official birth video.” (What followed was actually a clip from Disney’s “The Lion King.”)
