Yesterday, we had our first day off together in about 2 weeks. It was so nice! We slept in...till 8:00 and then prepared for some outdoor fun. A decision was made to go for a hike! No, wait...not a hike! A hike is something you do along a trail that others have walked along, you know, the kind with wooden signs telling one how many miles until the end of the trail and/or signs with trail names. So, thinking back, we didn't go on a hike at all...it was more like an adventure as Steven would say. We headed up Company Creek Road around 10:00 am and parked the truck at the end of the road there. Then, just started walking straight through the woods! Fortuneately, we found a game trail to follow for about 1 mile, along the side of big boulders looking down into the river. The adventure also consisted of walking across logs, hopping from rock to rock along the river's edge, waiding through portions of the river, and getting picked up by the raft guides across from the Ranch where our outting came to an end. When the day was over, we were left with empty lunch sacks, plenty of scratches on our arms, and a few pictures to share. Stay tuned for more adventure stories!
