Apple Butter

Last Thursday and Friday, I made apple butter with fresh apples from the orchard. I did have to borrow a few canning supplies (thanks to Dawn for the canning pot, Betty for the crock-pot, and Diane for the masher) to complete the process. It was quite fun and the house smelled great for three days. Now that I think about it...would have been nice to take a few more pictures to show the whole process, but since my hands were covered in apple puree, probably better that I left the camera in the other room.
