Ex-Chicago Bears DT Hampton will not join teammates at White House

I don’t blame you, Dan! They’re a lot of Democrat politicians running for re-election that don’t wanna visit him either.

President Barack Obama recently extended an invite to the 1985 Chicago Bears for a long-delayed visit to the White House. One Hall of Famer from that team will not be making the trip.

Former Bears defensive tackle Dan Hampton told Chicago's 890 WLS-AM that he would not visit the White House in October.

"It's my personal choice," Hampton told WLS. "I don't choose to go."

"Secondly, I’m not a fan of the guy in the White House, and third, it was 25 years ago. Let it go.”

According to the report, Hampton was bothered that players' wives and children were not also invited.
