Bridge Creek

Stehekin Outfitters offers tent to tent campsite with large outfitter sleeping tents and cooking tents for hikers to enjoy the backcountry without packing so much on there backs. Each year, the horses are used to pack in the gear for the site. Well, Steven and I headed up on Saturday morning with Jake and Dawn and a few horses to get the site set up. The morning started as I road the horses up the road to meet everyone at the trail head where the packing had begun. The guys packed up the gear as Dawn and I hiked on into Bridge Creek. The day was great with the sun shining and no rain. It was an easy 3 mile hike each way so no complaints there. Once Jake and Steven arrived with the horses, we all worked together to get the loads unpacked before enjoying lunch. The flies were rather bothersome during our lunch break....but that is what you get when handing out in the woods I guess. Dawn and I brought the horses back to the ranch after lunch just in time for a riding lesson at 4:00. The day was long as we didn't get home until 8:30, but enjoyable for sure as we spent time outdoors with some close friends.
