This 1944 film directed by the great Billy Wilder and starring Fred MacMurray, Barbara Stanwyck, the magnificent Edward G. Robinson, still holds up today as a wonderful suspense thriller.
The writing is very snappy, and the performances are top notch. But, in my opinion Edward G. Robinson steals every scene he’s in if not the entire film.
