CNN GETS IT WRONG: WikiLeaks Honcho Julian Assange Rape and Molestation Charges Dropped in Sweden

I didn’t cover WikiLeaks releasing secret military files because it was so upsetting to me.

The New York Post reports that Swedish prosecutors have withdrawn an arrest warrant for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, saying the rape suspicions against him are unfounded.

In a brief statement today, chief prosecutor Eva Finne says: "I don't think there is reason to suspect that he has committed rape."

The stunning turnaround comes after Swedish prosecutors announced that the maverick online publisher was wanted in connection with rape and molestation claims.

"Julian Assange is wanted for two different issues, one of them is that he's suspected of rape in Sweden," the director of communications Karin Rosander said earlier.
