Alias star Victor Garber has reportedly been cast as the new Charlie in the upcoming series of Charlie's Angels, according to US reports.
Garber, 62, will provide his voice for the off-screen role after a deal with acting veteran Robert Wagner fell through.
According to TVGuide.com, Garber's deal is still being negotiated and ABC have refused to comment on the new report.
It has been hinted by producers that there could be a new back story involving Charlie with speculation that he is the father of a former angel, who was killed on duty.
The show is set to premiere in the US on ABC on September 22.
